This is a selection of some videos I've had a key hand in creating over the last few years. Most of them are work done for clients of Jebvid video Productions, LLC. Some were created while working full-time at Northeastern University, Newfangled Studios and New England Sports Network. Some were freelance productions and some were just for fun.
On some of these videos, I was part of a team who played important roles in the production of these examples. I'm happy to make sure credit goes to these talented people. Listing all of these colleagues on my personal site doesn't make sense. For specifics on this, please reach out to me!
If you'd like to see more examples, please contact me with what you're looking for:
Thanks!
This video was shot across seven Northeastern University campuses, leveraging authentic aspirations of graduate students ready to impact the world. It was well received by tens of thousands of attendees at ceremonies around North America.
My role: Creative Director, Director, Production Mgr, Post Supervisor
JebVid created a series of six socially-optimized videos for the world leader in lacrosse safety equipment. These videos leveraged player and parent perspectives to help promote the revolutionary new EKG chest protector.
Here's an example of a promotional video JebVid created for the region's luxury real estate leader. This was one of a series of videos we created that could be utilized in various ways. Some showed off the virtues of specific towns, another video focused on what makes the realtor's approach so valuable.
The Project: This was a :30 television spot meant to promote Northeastern University's "Howlin Huskies Fund". The goal was to create a modern feeling message that Northeastern Athletics is a major force in the NCAA while still holding on to the gritty, hard-working identity that makes the school what it is. This piece is currently airing on New England Sports Network.
My Role: Creative Director, Writer, Videographer
The Nantucket Hotel hired JebVid to add a new video presence to the iconic hotel's homepage.
The Project: An "end of year" message of gratitude to the thousands who pledged to help advance Northeastern University's mission in 2019. We utilized strategic gimbal moves to achieve these interesting and seamless transitions between shots.
My role: Creative Director, Producer, Writer
The Project: This piece uses a narrative and cinematic approach to help viewers understand the mission of Northeastern University's "Women Who Empower" network. It features the true journey of NU alum Meaghan St. Marc, the founder of Rev'd Indoor Cycling. She's also an old friend who I worked with in my days as a producer in the Red Sox truck!
My Role: Creative Director, Director, Writer, Producer. I conceived the idea for this piece and oversaw it's production.
The Project: A cinematic recap of Northeastern's 2019 graduation ceremonies. This piece was produced as a way of thanking a legacy family who has done a lot for the university.
My Role: Creative Director, Producer, Videographer
The Project: An emotional video welcoming newly accepted applicants to Harvard's undergraduate class of 2020.
My role: Producer/Production Manager/Project Manager. (While working full-time at Newfangled Studios) We produced an ecosystem of assets to be delivered via email and spread across Harvard's social media channels.
The Project: Create a sales tool "with personality" for a client in the asset protection management business.
My Role: Producer/ Production Manager / Project Manager. (While working full-time at Newfangled Studios) Keeping to a tight budget and a demanding delivery timeline, we created this fun sales tool where a "spokes guy" cooly pitches his favorite bumpers.
The Project: Using Youtube's best practices, create a series of short, specifically targeted spots that help boost in-store conversion at Staples.
My Role: Producer/Production Manager. (While working full-time at Newfangled Studios) I had been managing an increasing amount of projects that embrace the new direction of video marketing. In lieu of traditional 30-second spots, shorter, customized videos that target specific verticals (in this case, retail food) are boosting ROI
Industry leader Cascade Maverik Lacrosse hired JebVid to create a series of animations to help launch two new lacrosse heads: The Kinetic 2.0 and the Tank 2.0.
The Project: Create a video that explains Harvard's climate action plan.
My role: Producer/Director/Project Manager. I worked with Harvard's Office for Sustainability to deliver a video that melds animation with live action to deliver their progressive message in a fun way. Typical of this type of video, we allowed for three rounds of revision in the storyboarding and post-production phases.
The Project: We've been working on a live-action/animation hybrid series called "Untapped". It's aimed at promoting diversity among creative hiring. This installment features Joi Ito, the director if MIT's Media Lab.
My Role: Producer/ Project Manager/Interviewer. This series has been a blast to work on. It was featured on the main stage at the 2017 3% Conference.
The Project: Emmy-award winning documentary which examines Ortiz' rise from lanky castoff into legendary slugger. It aired on NESN and at the 2017 GlobeDocs Film Festival.
My Role: As Senior Producer, my duties on this film were many. I acted as Director of Photography during Ortiz' 6-camera, 2-hour interview at Fenway Park. I interviewed dozens of former Ortiz teammates, researched, managed media, wrote portions of the script and procured video from around the world. (30-min cutdown)
The Project: A piece that boosts awareness for Bina Farm, a non-profit stable that helps children with developmental disabilities.
My Role: Producer/Videographer/Editor. This is a piece that I shot, wrote and edited. I turned it around in about 3 days and it aired during coverage of an equestrian event on NESN.
The Project: When concussion-related injuries were leading headlines, this piece investigated tech that introduced new information about diagnosing brain injury.
My role: Producer. I enterprised, wrote and edited this piece.
The project: An awareness video about Run to Home Base - a race that benefits veterans who suffer from the invisible wounds of war.
My role: Producer/ videographer. I shot and wrote this piece, which aired on several NESN programs, including the Red Sox pre-game show.
The Project: A feature on Peter Frates for NESN's news programs.
My Role: Producer. I was the first person to interview Frates for television. I've become friends with the Frates family since this piece aired.
